Pirates!!

I am happy to write about something that doesn't piss me off for a change. That is the handling of the pirate stand-off. Not sure what took so long, but you have to love it when the Navy Seals kick pirates asses. I am willing to bet the next time a pirate crew looks to hit a ship they will look at the flag it flies first. I am not completely out of my mind either, I know it will not stop them from acting like jack-asses, but it will make them think.

The next step has to be strong actions not a well written speech. And yes I am talking to you Mr. President. I hope you back up your words today, send in the Navy battle ships, let them know we will defend innocent people from them. Oh, and while you are at it STOP playing nice with the terrorists! Come on, every free human is worth defending, one American on a boat with 4 pirates is worth defending, but how in the world can you then not say, "Yes, we will not alloy anyone who seeks to harm Americans, have a free pass." Which is what you are doing by cutting funds to the missile defense program and the rest of our military. We can not let up now, it will only strengthen the resolve of those who wish to terminate us.

Ok, so I am not capable of writing a note without ending up being pissed off. I do not apologize for my words. I am a free American and I will not be silent anymore.

Lets Get Real (45% vote for Mayor)

Is it not maybe just a little crazy that one candidate needs 45% of vote to win election to mayor. Dan Sullivan got 43.6% of the vote. The top TWO runners up only got 35.97% of the vote, combined. So now we are going to have another election on May 5th, WOW that is sure a good way to spend our tax dollars. Am I the only one who can see the CRAP in this. I would think we could use that money for something else a lot more important then a run off ruse. Blah blah blah…. It is the rules already in place before the election started. The U.S. Constitution was in place for quite some time before our government decided it did not fit in their current plan, so they ignored it. So much more important that we spend this money for a run off. I would put money on it that if another candidate (to remain names less (Croft)) was in Sullivan’s place we would be rushing to make changes in the rules to avoid a run off. Can not be done you say? And California residents will get a full refund of their state income tax paid too.

Come on, it is way past time for more people to stand up and be heard. I do not care if you agree with me or not. If nothing else stand up and tell me I am wrong, just do not wait for someone to tell you what you think.

Senator Begich,

Let me start with a quote I got from The Anchorage Daily News (04-08-2009) in a story titled “Begich defends economic stimulus package”, the quote I would like to inquire on is:

"I thought it was necessary that you had to put some money into the economy," Begich said. "We met with conservative and liberal economists and significant business leaders to find out what was the right mix, and we felt this was the right move."

I am not sure what conservative economists you met with, but maybe you should have listened to them. No conservative economists that gave the advice that the government spending TONS of money on and in business that that have no business to be in. Not to mention TONS of money we do not have. Lets get real, serve Alaska or let a real senator (like Stevens) do the job if you can not.
